Erin Entrada Kelly Scholarship by Boyds Mills

I'm thrilled to share that I've been awarded the Boyds Mills Erin Entrada Kelly Scholarship celebrating middle grade writers!

Boyds Mills, formerly known as the Highlights Foundation, is a place built to nurture storytellers and strengthen the books children grow up with. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be in their idyllic cabins, writing and learning from the best faculty.

I've admired Erin's books for years. She's a two‑time Newbery Medalist whose work has shaped contemporary middle grade literature and given voice to kids who feel unseen. Her stories center courage, loneliness, friendship, and the quiet power of being different. Receiving this scholarship is both humbling and motivating.

I look forward to deepening my craft and bringing my stories to young readers.
